Yuhang Cai 蔡榆杭

I’m a PhD student at UC Berkeley, advised by Prof. Michael J. Lindsey and Prof. Peter L. Bartlett. I also work closely with Prof. Song Mei. I got my M.S. in statistics from UChicago, advised by Prof. Lek-Heng Lim and my bachelor’s degree in math from Peking University.

I work on optimization and deep learning. I’m especially interested in understanding the training dynamics and generalization for LLM and other modern AI models.
